Summer Outing 2011 - July 16 & 17

Here's the plan for Saturday, July 16 AND Sunday, July 17  Saturday, July 16, 2011 - PawSox Free Youth Clinic - Pawtucket, RI 2:00PM - The PawSox (Rhode Island) Free Youth Clinic is back again on Saturday, July 16th. The clinic will run from 2:00 - 3:15 pm and will be followed by a PawSox home game that night. 3:30PM - HHF activities at the PawSox Stadium 6:00PM - Free tickets to PawSox Game for HHF child and their siblings (adults at minimal cost) - must be reserved in advance (by June 15). Overnight: Newly Renovated Holiday Inn, Dedham MA -  HHF-only rate of $79/night! Call (781) 329-1000 for reservations. Sunday, July 17, 2011 - Cookout, Swimming, Sports and Scavenger Hunt - Canton, MA 11:00AM-4:00PM - Fun Activities ALL DAY - Don't miss out on the fun

Once again, our summer outing was well participated by 150+ folks from all over New England and beyond. This year, we began the outing on Saturday with a visit to Rhode Island's McCoy Stadium for a kids' baseball clinic with professional PawSox players followed by a PawSox game vs. Durham. Even though, we didn't win, it was a high scoring game with lots of cheering and sunshine! The following day, we were fortunate to have perfect weather for our outing/cookout with lots of delicious food, great company, new families learning from experienced families, plenty of swimming, games, golf, toys and of course, ice cream! Thanks to the Minkin Family for continuing to organize fantastic crafts for young and old, and Peg Ganim for bringing exciting toys for each child to bring home. We are grateful for all the wonderful support of our families, especially The Loeffler Family for sponsoring a big portion of the "unlimited" ice cream from the musical truck! We hope to continue this new tradition of a weekend of fun rather than just one day and are looking for volunteers to support this effort (coordinate activities, purchase food, liason with venue, offer creative ideas).
